Lenten Services in the Connecticut DeaneryWe have received word from our chancellor that Deanery Mission Vespers services are cancelled for the month of March. These services have been traditionally held on Sunday afternoons. Here is the statement from Fr. John Kreta:
Due to pastoral concerns for the well being of our faithful we are temporally cancelling Mission Vespers throughout the month of March. Given the current need in our communities to do all we can to help the prevent possible spread of COVID-19 by limiting travel, limit large gatherings, and limiting the number of new people we come in contact with, this temporary pastoral decision seems to be most prudent. We will reevaluate this decision at the end of the month.
The tentative April schedule of Lenten services in the Connecticut Deanery, all beginning at 4 PM on Sundays during Great Lent:
- 5th Sunday of Great Lent, April 5, Three Saints, 26 Howard Ave, Ansonia: Annual Unction Service.
- Palm Sunday, April 12, Holy Ghost Church (in cooperation with St. George, Trumbull), 1540 East Main St, Bridgeport: Bridegroom Matins of Holy Monday.
