SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church is a local Christian community of the Orthodox Church in America, in Meriden, Connecticut, and serving the surrounding area. We offer the love of Christ to all, both in words and in actions. Grateful for God's gifts, we work to expand the mission of Christ.
Our parish encourages its members to engage in the life and mission of the Church. Learn about a variety of opportunties below:

The choir leads the congregation in singing for our major services: Saturday evening Vigil, Sunday morning Divine Liturgy, feast days and special services throughout the year. Orthodox Christian worship is distinctive: almost all of it is sung or at least chanted, and without instrumental accompaniment. By far the most important education in the Orthodox Faith takes place within each family. Parents who bring their children to church, who pray, learn, and talk about their faith regularly with their children—these are the primary teachers and transmitters of Christian faith. No program, no class, no activity will develop children into confident, committed Orthodox Christians without dedicated parents who commit to teach their children throughout daily life.
That said, SS. Peter & Paul has a dynamic group of children, parents and teachers. We currently meet after Divine Liturgy on Sunday mornings for short sessions organized into four age groups. Families are informed and encouraged through a variety of communication channels. If you would like to get involved, please speak with our Children's Education Director:
