Our 2nd & 4th Tuesdays Bible Study meets at 7:00, via Zoom.

 

Currently, we are reading through the Psalms slowly and carefully, according to the Orthodox Psalter. The best way to participate is to use an Orthodox Psalter, or at least the Book of Psalms from the Orthodox Study Bible. 

 

The Orthodox Church relies on the ancient Greek Septuagint translation of the Psalms, which is noticeably different from most published Bibles in English. In particular, the numbering of the Psalms is not the same. There are ways to follow along using editions like the King James or New King James Versions and so on, but it will take some careful attention.

 

If possible, please read the selected psalms in advance of our next session, so that we can be ready to consider the text together.
