Memorial Service for Charles Haddad

Charles Haddad, who is the father of M. Jenny Mosher, departed this life on Saturday, July 24. We pray that God will keep Charles in eternal memory, and that the Lord will bring consolation and strenth to his grieving family.

Condolences may be directed to Anne Haddad, 256 Main St., Durham CT 06422.

SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church is hosting a memorial service for Charles at noon on Friday, July 30. Following the service, there will be a light luncheon for guests under a tent beside the church. For those who plan to attend the service in person, you can find guidance on visiting us here on our website. The service will be live-streamed as well, via YouTube. You can participate with us remotely as the service is streamed, or you can view the recording afterward; our Media page always shares recordings of the last few live-streamed services in addition to the current one.

The service (often called a Panakhida) is according to the Orthodox Christian tradition. It is filled with psalms, hymns and prayers all centered on three convictions: 1) All of us are in need of God's mercy and help; 2) God sent his Son Jesus Christ to be that help, even to make death a pathway to everlasting life; and 3) Trusting in God's love for all mankind, and for the newly-departed Charles in particular, we ask that God would keep him in eternal memory, until the day when all the dead are raised and brought into the God's presence.

May the Lord keep Charles in eternal memory!
