Young Adult Hike on Saturday, May 18
A new diocesan young adult group has been organized, with the blessing of His Grace, Bishop Benedict. The first activity is planned for this coming Saturday, May 18: a hike at Pawtuckaway Mt (Parking North Mountain Trail Pawtuckaway State Park in NH) at noon, and then when that is done people can either go home or progress to St Nicholas in Salem, MA, for Vespers at 6.

The coordinator, Dimitrios Rentel shares the following announcement:

With the blessing of His Grace, the diocese is starting a young adult group! Each month will have a new activity, casual and fellowship based, and hopefully it will be a good space for young adults from around the diocese to meet each other. We will share ideas and our walks of life, and after each event visit a different parish in the diocese for Vespers. We will also try to host it in different parts of the diocese, so if one event is too far away for someone, the next might not be. By your prayers may the group grow into a great network that supports itself and the diocese!

The summer plan for the young adult group is finalized! Here it all is:

May 18 - a hike at Pawtuckaway Mt (Parking North Mountain Trail Pawtuckaway State Park in NH) at noon, and then when that is done people can either go home or progress to St Nicholas in Salem, MA, for Vespers at 6.

June 15 -  hike at Sleeping Giant St Park in Hamden CT (200 Mount Carmel Ave, Hamden, CT 06518) at noon, and afterwards Sts Peter and Paul for Vespers. (Thank you for this recommendation!)

POTENTIAL: July 13 - beach day at Charleston beach, RI, just about all day. People can come and go, but around 5 or so we would leave, hopefully to go to St Nicholas in Norwich for Vespers.

There will also be a groupchat for the young adults of the diocese: https://chat.whatsapp.com/EPOqWrDjjXjJp6ErHMkBJg

The young adult group has been created under the auspices of the Diocesan Youth and Young Adult Ministry, where our own Ephraim Mosher is Assistant Director. Please follow up with Ephraim if you have questions.
